The Red Shoes School of Dance is owned and run by principle Claire Monaghan, who holds a BA Hons Dance Degree, Post Graduate Certificate of Education in dance and graduated from a top London Stage school- London studio Centre with a distinction in Jazz Dance Theatre. After training Claire became a professional dancer and worked with exclusive pop artists such as Emma Bunton as well as other west end theatre stars. Claire has been teaching for over 12 years and has a rapidly expanding portfolio of choreography and tuition in many areas. Highlights include choreographing and mentoring a group of students for  a pioneering performance in Billy Elliot on the West End Stage, part of the 'Billy Elliot Youth Theatre Project'.
 
At The Red Shoes School of Dance, we hold weekly lessons in Ballet, Tap, Modern jazz and Street/Hip-Hop. Private lessons are available for pupils wishing to fast track or improve specific areas.
 
Adult Ballet, Tap and Salsa size lessons are also available as are wedding dance lessons, GCSE dance and A Level Dance coaching.

Whether a pupil wants to perform in the West End or just for fun and exercise, the red shoes school of dance offers the best training available by highly skilled teachers to help individuals achieve their ambitions.

Fees

The first Class for every student is payable on the door as a taster session, the rest of the terms fees are then due at the students second class. Invoices will be issued for ease of payment. 

Dress Code

  • Children may wear leggings or tights,  leotard or t-shirts initially for class, if your child wishes to complete an exam or medal grade they will have to buy the IDTA uniform. Order forms are available.
  • Where possible children should try to have the correct foot wear:
    Ballet Shoes - soft leather
    Tap shoes - small heal
    Jazz shoes - soft leather
    Trainers - Street Jazz
  • Adults may wear anything comfortable and breathable. Denim is not recommended.
